this is beyond words, i really love this picture. actually i've been thinking to get a tattoo of it for like 2 years, but i was not able to find a tattoo shop that i can truly trust to picture this in skin as perfect as you have done. you are a great artist!
Wow! So gorgeous! Her eyes and the serpents eyes are amazing! I love the highlights that you did. And I love the dazed, almost blank stare she is giving, like she is falling under the serpents spell. The halo of light behind her is perfectly done I think, not too much, it is just right. Wonderful job!
that's awesome XD for our final in ENGL we get to do some kind of project (be it written or drawn or sculpted or anything!) and I keep thinking I want to draw/do Something about Paradise Lost and Eve and everyone.
Brigada!! Eu usei alguns brushes do set de "natural brushes" do photoshop... são bons pra dar essa textura mais natural... e pintei o claro em cima do escuro, oq eu acho q sempre dá uma diferença, dá mais impacto sei la!
Haha, I was experimenting with a style I saw on some tutorial on some place I can't remember. I started with a rusty texture from cgtextures.com on the background, and used Photoshop's Natural Brushes with the brush dynamics on, and painted over it... I like to start painting on a dark background. And with Photoshop brushes it's easier to create nice textures for a more traditional-looking painting. Haha, maybe I'll do a walkthrough or something on how I paint just for curiosity... And thanks!!
I must confess that I have no idea o_o hahaha... I usually start sketching something and the picture develops for itself, and I only find a meaning after it's finished. On this one, the girl's embraced by the snake but she doesn't seem afraid, she seems like she's pleased with something... mesmerized like you said, ahaha... but snakes are often seem as something menacing, and also connected to the original sin... I just like to play with those ideas. They's also a symbol of wisdom... I wonder myself what the serpent is whispering on her ear...
I wasn't really raised in an environment where the concept of "original sin" plays much significance to anything, so I sometimes have to reach for Biblical imagery/concepts. Snakes to me don't really seem menacing to mean. Perhaps secretive, shifty, but also wise.
If the snake whispers to you, you should let me know
Oh no, the concept of original sin never was a part of my creation or environment neither, but for some reason, I like to use a little biblical symbology once in a while... haha, now you made me wonder why. I have a thing for apples and snakes XD But always defying the concept that they are evil things... Oh, I will let you know if the snake tell me something
